Competitive Integrated Employment in Advanced Manufacturing and Web Development for Individuals with IDD receiving Lanterman Act Services
This ‘proof of concept’ project will develop, implement, and evaluate a Uniquely Abled Project’s (UAP) model of specialized training and placement in high wage competitive integrated employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) receiving Lanterman Act services. The project will train a total of 16 individuals with IDD in Robotics Programming, an area in the advanced manufacturing sector. The project is an academic - community collaboration that brings together a multi-disciplinary team of professionals with extensive experience in the IDD and Competitive Integrated Employment fields.
