Areas of Emphasis
As a UCEDD, we work to meet DD Act goals by addressing at least one of the following "areas of emphasis" related to:
• Quality assurance activities,
• Education and early intervention activities,
• Child care-related activities,
• Health-related activities,
• Employment-related activities,
• Housing-related activities,
• Transportation-related activities,
• Recreation-related activities, and
• Other services available or offered to individuals in a community, including formal
and informal community supports, that affect their quality of life.
